George is a hardworking young man with a dream. Just look at the dirt on his boots from the casual labor he was doing when he applied for our scholarship program! We love coming alongside hardworking individuals to give them the opportunity to provide for their families. George is paying for 20% of his education and our generous donors are paying for 80%.

Here is George’s story in his own words: “My name is George. I am a born again Christian. I come from a family of 12 children, being the ninth born. I was born and grew up in Matathia, went to Mbau-ini primary school and then to Kimende Secondary School. After completing my High School education, I started working in different places like Kijabe hospital as a house keeper, in Nairobi in the Matatu industry as a conductor until in 2015 when my father fell sick and died of cancer the following year. Since then I have been at home in Matathia doing any genuine casual labour that comes along for my up keep. My desire is to go to college and do a cosmetology course for this is my passion and dream.”
